About the role
The Lead Designer is responsible for supporting with the delivery of the visual creative direction and execution of the Dune London brand suite across all channels. The role will ensure that the Dune London DNA is present and correct in all visual communications and will act as guardian across all brands in the portfolio to ensure a premium visual product at all times.
We are looking for a proactive and ambitious designer who is conceptually, strong, self-motivated and has a history of working on several projects at one time.
1 Year FTC
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads with all visual/graphic communications, including but not limited to; print, digital (website, digital advertising, social, email) and film/video.
- Leads on photoshoots when necessary
- Comfortable getting hands on with projects and BAU when necessary.
- Works to tight deadlines and is an excellent end to end project manager.
- Has an understanding, or an interest in learning how to produce campaigns from conception through to media delivery.
- Can identify and engage high quality external talent and suppliers as and when required.
- Is a highly creative individual who is adept at relationship building with internal and external clients.
- Project management is an important aspect of this role so an understanding of project processes and project management systems is essential.
- Constantly scans new technologies, approaches, trends and opportunities to offer as solutions both instore and online.
- Works across the organisation forging strong relationships to deliver results.
- Is customer centric at all times and promotes the voice of the customer across all Dune London business units.
- Maintains an expert level of knowledge and to be aware of industry developments and innovations at all times.
- Constantly look for new opportunities and regularly make suggestions as to how things can be improved.
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:
- 5 - 6 years’ experience in a graphic design role with a proven record of success and delivery
- Fashion retail / agency experience
- Relevant degree or professional qualification
- Extensive experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
- Outstanding creative abilities & attention to detail
- Exceptional project management abilities and highly organised
- Self-motivated, positive and passionate about design – a strong work ethic and positive approach is crucial
- Strong background and understanding in print and digital design best practice
- Experience in working with large print elements (Billboard design, Taxi and Underground wraps, large outdoor advertising)
- Experience supporting and coaching Junior Designers
- Ability to collaborate and co-create
- A team player who enjoys collaboration and being challenged artistically
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Familiar with UX and UI industry standards and best practice
- Skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Dreamweaver and After Effects would be advantageous
