About the role
Our dynamic Merchandising team are looking for an Assistant Branch Merchandising to support with the management of all aspects of branch merchandising, consistently analysing and reviewing performance and space.
The role requires someone who is highly analytical and proactive to be a strategic influence within the business reporting to the Senior Branch Merchandiser.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Vital team member that will play an important role in maximising performance across all categories through our retail FP & Outlet stores in UK & Europe.
- Confident to challenge and grow sales working internally with the Product Merchandise teams, Retail, Area Managers & externally with our host partners.
- Accurate use of reporting tool (we have Power BI reporting tool) and excel to provide reports, analysis and recommendations to Optimise stock & therefore sales & profit potential.
- Provide Analysis and feedback stock opportunities across stores and product areas and influence the allocation strategy accordingly liaising with the core product merchandising teams to drive sales.
- Monitoring store option and stock capacities and taking action when required.
- Provide and analyse commercial information relating to the business.
- Review in season ranging where relevant and influence changes where required to increase sales at store level.
- Working alongside the allocation team to ensure merchandise strategies and trading actions are completed.
- Liaising with our Area managers & flagship stores regarding any stock and sales issues coming up with a solution and ensuring a resolution is actioned.
- Liaising with other departments such as: retail, finance, distribution and visual merchandisers to ensure KPIs are met and exceeded.
- Regular communication with Partners, retail stores & area managers.
- Effectively plan sales & markdown strategies and managing stock levels into the branches with the Allocation teams.
- Drive Sales by being aware of and helping with Events planning – (promotions, Black Friday, sale, Christmas etc)
- Planning new / modernised branch stock packages tailored to individual requirements, ensuring optimal stock package for opening and monitoring once open making changes as required. Liaising with Store & Dc on initial stock deliveries.
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Numerate and analytical
- Understanding of core merchandise terminology and calculations.
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in fast paced environment.
- Good Communication and presentation skills
- Good Time management & Highly organised
- Ability to understand both Head Office strategy and retail needs to drive sales
- Excel knowledge to an intermediate/advanced level
