About the role
We're looking for a dynamic and detail-driven professional to lead our Business Operations, ensuring our stores and Central Support Office (CSO) run smoothly, safely, and in full compliance with Health & Safety and maintenance regulations.
In this pivotal role, you'll be the go-to communicator, keeping our stores informed and supported by managing enquiries with speed and precision. You'll also take the reins on budgeting, driving cost-effective strategies across retail and CSO.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all retail and CSO operations, ensuring stores and offices are maintained to high standards and compliant with health & safety regulations.
- Manage budgets for Retail and The White Building, monitor departmental costs, and lead supplier tendering to ensure competitive rates.
- Handle all business communications via the Operations mailbox, ensuring timely, brand-appropriate messaging across departments.
- Plan and coordinate new store openings and seasonal showcases, working with internal teams and external contractors to meet critical deadlines.
- Maintain supplier relationships, ensure consumables meet sustainability standards (e.g., FSC), and stay updated on legislation.
- Lead CSO facilities management including utilities, refurbishments, seating plans, and reactive maintenance, ensuring brand alignment.
- Manage H&S, schedule training, and ensure all equipment and environments meet legal standards across stores and CSO.
- Manage and develop the Business Operations Coordinator, fostering growth and performance aligned with company values.
- Act as a key contact for Directors and Heads of Departments, supporting initiatives and building strong internal relationships.
- Oversee Microsoft Teams content for Retail, support engagement initiatives, and collaborate with L&D to enhance employee experience.
About you
- Background in retail essential
- Customer service experience desired
- Demonstrate an ability to lead, motivate, train, and develop a team through active management
- Strong communication skills both externally and at all levels in the Company, both written and verbal
- Good negotiation skills
- Expense control and budget awareness
- Competent in Microsoft Office & Outlook
- Enthusiastic, self-confident, and self-motivated
- Grasps detail and accuracy and are analytical to a high level
- Successfully able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities
- High standards, strong self-management
