About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to take ownership of processing daily sales across our Retail estate, Website, and Concession & Marketplace partners. This role also involves performing system and account reconciliations, monthly as standard, with some requiring more frequent review to ensure data accuracy and financial integrity across all channels
Key Responsibilities
- Daily posting of sales for the whole Retail business
- Reconciliations of payments received to sales data across all tender types and sales channel
- Allocating receipts against partner debtor accounts
- Daily reconciliation of cash banked against store reports and details from cash collection company
- Supporting with daily receivables reporting to the bank
- Monthly reconciliation of all business bank accounts in multi currencies
- In-store Ipad sales reporting
- Monitoring of aged debt and resolving late payment issues, escalating as appropriate
- Updating the company cash flow monitor
- Daily posting of Website sales and reconciliation
- Month end reconciliation of sales and margin between finance and ERP systems
- Regular reporting and extraction of data from card companies and Concession and Marketplace partners
- Understanding any differences and working with all parties to resolve
- Building relationships with Concession and Marketplace partners
- Posting manual bank entries daily
- System management and maintenance if required for new and existing accounts
- Understand and communicate monthly debtor reports and bank reconciling differences in detail to senior finance team
- Liaise with internal teams and company charity regarding regular payments of fundraising activities
- Liaise with banks, card processing companies and external auditors in UK and Republic of Ireland
- Provider cover to the Franchise & Wholesale credit controller
- Support the Senior Finance Manager as required
Skills required
- Five years’ experience within either accounts receivable or cash management
- Analytical and methodical
- Proven track record of maintaining strong controls
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
- Advanced Excel user
- Confident to challenge existing processes and develop improvements
- Excellent reconciliation skills
- An understanding of working within a retail / fast-paced environment
